These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form the agreement between you and Jariel La Salsa (“we,” “us,” or “our”) for the dance course or private lesson services identified in your order or booking confirmation. By purchasing a service, you confirm that you have reviewed and agree to these Terms, our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and our Privacy Policy.

Group course enrollment

The advertised group-course price enrolls one student in the four-class Salsa FUN-2-Mentals course cycle identified on the product page and order confirmation. Classes are scheduled for Fridays from 8:00–9:00 p.m. at Something Untouchable Dance Studio, 545 W 145th Street, New York, NY 10031, unless we notify you of a reasonable schedule, venue, or instructor change. Enrollment is personal and may not be resold or transferred without our written approval.

Private lesson services and pricing

Each published private lesson is 60 minutes unless a different arrangement is confirmed in writing. Individual pricing covers one student working with Jariel. Couples pricing covers both participants together. “With My Assistant” pricing includes Jariel’s coaching plus a dance assistant for partner practice and demonstrations. Group pricing covers the registered group of 3–10 people; the published $250 single-lesson rate and $750 five-lesson package rate cover the entire registered group, not each participant. Published options may include a student-provided location or studio space arranged by Jariel.

Private lesson locations and travel

When the student provides the lesson location within New York City’s five boroughs, a $25 travel fee applies to each visit. The fee is per trip, not per participant. If multiple lessons are scheduled back-to-back during the same visit, one travel fee applies to that visit. Requests outside the five boroughs are considered individually, and any travel charge will be quoted and agreed before booking. Studio-included pricing covers the studio arranged by Jariel and does not add the student-location travel fee.

Private lesson scheduling and package validity

Lesson dates are confirmed directly with Jariel and remain subject to mutual availability. Lessons may be scheduled weekly or closer together when availability permits. Package validity begins on the purchase date: a single lesson is valid for 30 days; a 3-lesson package for 6 weeks; a 5-lesson package for 10 weeks; a 10-lesson package for 20 weeks; and a 15-lesson package for 30 weeks. Unused lessons expire at the end of the applicable period unless Jariel approves a written exception.

Private lesson rescheduling, cancellations, and lateness

A private lesson may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. A cancellation or rescheduling request made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, or a no-show, counts as a used lesson. Genuine emergencies may be reviewed individually at Jariel’s discretion. If a student arrives late, the lesson still ends at the originally scheduled time. When studio space has been reserved, a late cancellation also counts as used because the studio commitment has already been made. If Jariel cancels, the lesson will be rescheduled without loss of lesson credit.

Payment and confirmation

Payment is due through the payment method provided for the service. Enrollment or a private-lesson purchase is confirmed only after payment is successfully processed and confirmation is issued. You are responsible for providing accurate contact and billing information. If a duplicate charge or clear processing error occurs, contact us promptly so we can investigate and correct it.

Progressive course and attendance

The Salsa FUN-2-Mentals course is a progressive four-class course rather than four separate drop-in classes. After the cancellation period and rights described below, missed classes, late arrival, travel, holidays, scheduling conflicts, or a personal decision not to attend do not qualify for a refund, credit, transfer, or make-up class. Scheduled classes proceed on holidays unless we tell enrolled students otherwise.

Cancellation rights

CONSUMERS RIGHT TO CANCELLATION. YOU MAY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT WITHOUT ANY PENALTY OR FURTHER OBLIGATION WITHIN THREE (3) BUSINESS DAYS FROM THIS DATE.

For this notice, “this date” is the date you receive these Terms with your order or purchase confirmation. Submit written notice through the cancellation form on our Refund & Cancellation Policy page or by email to info@jariellasalsa.com. Include your name and order number. Money paid under a timely cancellation will be refunded within 10 business days after we receive your notice.

ADDITIONAL RIGHTS TO CANCELLATION:

You may also cancel after the three-business-day period if a doctor orders that a significant physical disability prevents you from receiving the services for more than three months; if you move your residence more than 25 miles from any location operated by us where the services are offered; if the services cease to be offered as stated in this agreement; or, if you die, your estate may cancel. We may request reasonable evidence. Refunds will be issued within 10 business days after we receive a qualifying cancellation notice, less any amount permitted by applicable law for services already provided or reasonable costs already incurred.

Refunds after the cancellation period

After the applicable cancellation period, private-lesson purchases and packages are generally non-refundable except where required by law or when Jariel cannot provide the purchased service. Lessons lost through late cancellation, no-show, or package expiration do not qualify for a refund or credit. Additional details appear in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Changes or cancellation by us

We may use a qualified substitute instructor for a group course or make a reasonable venue or schedule change. If we cancel a class or private lesson and do not provide a reasonable substitute or rescheduled service, we will offer an appropriate reschedule, credit, or proportionate refund. If we permanently discontinue a purchased service before completing the promised services, the cancellation rights above apply.

Safety and conduct

Dance is a physical activity. Participate within your abilities, follow instructor and venue safety directions, and consult a qualified medical professional if you have health concerns. Tell the instructor about relevant limitations before participating. We may remove a person whose unsafe, abusive, harassing, or materially disruptive conduct threatens others or interferes with instruction. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

Minors

A parent or legal guardian must make the purchase and agree to these Terms for a participant under 18, and must contact us before the first class or lesson to confirm participation requirements.

Communications

You agree that we may send transactional messages to the email address supplied at checkout or booking, including receipts, lesson or class instructions, schedule changes, cancellations, and other service-related notices. These messages are not optional marketing.

Applicable law and complete agreement

These Terms and your order or booking confirmation are the complete agreement for the purchased service and are governed by applicable New York law, without limiting mandatory consumer protections. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. The version presented when you place your order governs that purchase unless a later change is required by law or you agree to it.
